Shi'aism Exposed

The sub-title "Spare a minute - Read - Save your Imaan" fits very well. Go here to read a list set up by Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias exposing the non-sense in Shi'a belief and their fabrications. This is not a sunni scholar just in blind rage, rather there's reference attached to every single point. Let me just quote this part:

Fatawa by Rasulullah (s.a.w.)
There is a specific Hadith about Rafida: "A sect is going to emerge who will be known by a bad connotation. They will be called Rafida. They will come neither on Friday nor in the congregational prayers. They will vilify the first generation (of Ummah). You should neither keep their company nor dine with them, nor have matrimonial relationship with them. If they fall ill do not go to greet them and if they die do not participate in their funeral prayers."

If you seriously believe in utter non-sense listed on the page that you have linked, then I have to say you are as ignorant about shia beliefs as a westerner is about islam itself.
I have to say that the mufti should shed his title and go back to a seminary of repute to reducate himself on religious history and the history of the schisms that exist in islam.
By posting this article you here you are further becoming part of the ploy to widen the gap that divides muslims. I hope you are truly able to someday save your iman by seeking out the truth and eudcating yourself.

Salamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

First off all, Jazak'Allah khair for taking out the time to leave your thoughts.

But then I have to disagree with you. Mufti Sahab is a well-known and so far I know reliable traditional scholar and like stated in the main post he just listed the views, beliefs and fabrications with exact references from Shia literature. I think many Shias themselves don't know about most of these things of their Religion.

Salam Alaikum,

I just took a cursory look at the list on the link. As a shia I thought I would be upset about what was posted but I am not. I am just amused that people want to go to such great lengths to malign a people with pure fabrications. I can assure you that almost 95% of what was in that list is absolute fabrications. The other 5% is misrepresentation. I was going to write a rebuttal of each of the points made on my own blog but it would just take to much time and space. Also, realized that most people will either quickly determine that this is absolute crap and those that don't "are deaf, dumb, and blind" and will not see the truth no matter what.

Don't take it personal, but I don't think you have read the books given as references. So, if you were wrong and these are really beliefs of Shi'aism, would you still follow it?

Btw. it's true I have never seen or heard of a Shia Hafiz-ul-Qur'an for example.

I'm not trying to provoke or attack anyone. I'm as well against Shia killing Sunni and vice versa - it's useless. But my hope is that Insh'Allah after reading this many or at least a few will wake up.

True Life,

How can I take it for anything but personal. It is my faith that is put into question. I realize this is not an attack on ME personally but it is an attack on a central part of who I am. I can garuntee you that the vast majority of what was in that list is without a doubt false. The vast mojority of it would be considered blasfemous to me and almost all Shias. Every Shia I dont care who you speak with will tell you first and foremost that there is but one Quran (the same Quran every Muslim reads. They will also tell you that anything that condradicts the Quran is a fabrication and will not be adhered to. Are there certian things that we as Shias do differently? Yes. However, the central tents "There is no God but Allah and his Messenger is Muhammad (A.S.)" and that the Quran has not been altered in one letter since its revelation. So long as we live by Quran we should leave judgement to Allah.

Seems like there is nothing quite so invigorating as stirring the sectarian pot. Really...no Muslim (sunni or shi'ite) does a noble service by bashing other Muslims, esp. in these times - and don't we have better things to occupy ourselves with than attacking or hurling accusations (esp. fabricated ones) at fellow Muslims. There seems to be a sort of pitiful internet subculture derived from a dangerous Muslim culture which exacerbates differences and encourages fitna, which thrives on sectarian disputes and on purposely baiting Muslims (sunni or shi'ite) - these seem to be the Muslim counterpart to the vitriolic anti-Muslim or Muslim-baiting right-wing posts designed specifically to provoke and annoy.

By the way, the post you link to contains a mistake about the number of the verses in the qur'an. It lists the number of verses as 6,666 verses. This is not the case as a quick addition of the number of verses in each sura will confirm for you. The 6,666 number is an old fabrication (perhaps dating back to the crusades) which attempted to link the supposed number of qur'anic verses (the number had to be falsified) to the Biblical 666 (number of the beast). This doesn't speak well of a supposed scholar's credentials if he can't produce an accurate count of the verses of the Holy Qur'an. If something so basic as this is wrong, you can imagine the ridiculous inaccuracies which riddle the remainder of his list.

My intention was not to bash, offend, annoy or provoke anyone... and while posting this I didn't even realize that Yaum-e-Aschura just passed.

Further more the purpose is that most Shias probably don't know about these facts of their Religion, but if they see that beliefs and practices like that exist in Shi'aism they will Insha'Allah think about an alternative.

This is not to judge or condemn anyone, because at the end Allah is the one to judge. And we have been taught by our elders to even feel spiritual less than a kafir-e-farangi. I just think everyone has the right to be informed about Shia ideolagies and so far noone could prove any of them wrong - you all were just assuming that most is not true.

Again, I'm for peace between Shia and Sunnis.

As salaam alaikum,

Instead of informing Shi'ites about false and baseless "facts" about their own religion, you should seek to inform yourself correctly about Shi'ite belief. Shi'ites already know about all the silly accusations against them - they've heard them over and over and replied to them over and over. It's not their job to respond to every baseless slander (there are enough books that have already done that - go read Tabatabai or Mutahhari, for example). It's your duty as a Muslim to correctly and sincerely seek the truth before accusing your brothers in faith or publicizing accusations against them. Otherwise it is just slander, backbiting, the spreading of ignorance and prejudice, and the creation of fitna. I am glad you are for peace between Shia and Sunni since they are indeed brothers in faith - but that peace will not come through tactics of accusation such as that used in this particular post of yours.

As Salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

I'm not accusing Shi'ites about anything, because probably most don't even know about these points. But why has then something like that been written in the books listed as references?

As long as you can't prove the references wrong these stay fabrications spread by Shi'aism - sorry.
